Visualising Compassionate Care: Dementia@Home Publication Design
I recently had the opportunity to develop a suite of marketing materials for Dementia@Home. Based in Wiltshire, this organisation provides specialist dementia respite care and support at home.
The project involved designing a cohesive set of print assets, including a large format 800 x 2000mm roller banner, an informative multi-page brochure, and a promotional flyer.
Key parts of the brief were to clearly communicate their person-led approach and to visually convey their supportive, reliable, and companion-led service, alongside their core message, “Put Your Trust in Us”.
The brochure design features a custom word search puzzle to engage readers and introduce the company’s core values, such as dignity, respect, and independence.
Throughout all the materials, I ensured that essential details—such as their Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration, contact information, and a scannable QR code—were highly accessible and easy to read.
Print Design for Dementia@Home
- Roller Banner: Created an eye-catching 800 x 2000mm banner to highlight their core services, contact details, and reassurance that no formal diagnosis is required.
- Brochure Design: Produced a detailed 8-page booklet outlining their service boundaries, logistics, and the background of founding directors Sally Haddrell-Jenks and Kate Hanny.
- Interactive Elements: included the company’s bespoke word search within the brochure, using keywords that reflect the organisation’s values of kindness, warmth, and understanding.
- Promotional Flyer: Developed a concise flyer focusing on their meaningful connection approach and clear contact details.
